An author, journalist and academic with more than 20 years’ experience researching and publishing on state and corporate misbehaviour. Before joining the University of Bath, he was a department head at the University of the West of England in Bristol and responsible for a dozen creative arts programmes. It was there that Phil earned his master’s in journalism and developed research interests in corporate surveillance. Phil has taught investigative journalism techniques in many countries. He was appointed Managing Editor of Tobacco Tactics in March 2019
