"Ola N. Ataya is a clinical psychologist and liscenced psychotherapist, child protection and gender-based violence specialist with 15+ years' experience in community psycho-social and mental health work - in both emergency and non-emergency settings.
Ataya has worked in Lebanon and other Arab countries including Syria, Jordan, Yemen, Iraq and Egypt in the fields of mental health and psychosocial support. She spent 12 years at the American University of Beirut as a student psychologist and counselor, while working privately as a clinical psychotherpist, using integrative/holistic CBT, psychodynamic, family systemic, interpersonal and stage-oriented treatment models in individual and group therapy. Ataya works as a staff counselor for humanitarian workers; providing individual and group staff-care sessions.
