Haytham Mones is founder of AkhbarMeter, and a researcher interested in public sector reform, digitalisation, and political communication. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Hertie School and has participated as a speaker in several international conferences, giving talks about public policy and eGovernance. Haytham holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Erfurt in Germany, a Master of Arts in Global Citizenship, Identities and Human Rights from the University of Nottingham, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Cairo University. Her professional experience comprises several positions in the public, non-profit and private sectors. Before the PhD, she worked as an advisor for GIZ Egypt in digitalization and public sector reform and prior to this, was a researcher in the cabinet of the Egyptian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation.
