Andy Rowell is a writer and journalist who specialises in environmental and health issues. He has researched, written on and exposed the activities of the tobacco industry on and off for twenty years, including for WHO, PAHO, Sunday Times, Independent on Sunday and civil society organisations such as Action on Smoking and Health. For the last ten years he has worked at the Tobacco Control Research Group (TCRG), at the University of Bath. In 2015, the TCRG acted as advisors to the BBC’s Panorama Programme, the Secret Bribes of Big Tobacco, which examined BAT’s unethical activities across East and Central Africa. The TCRG continues to investigate such activity to this day.
