"Abeer Saady is a media expert and author who has worked for more than 29 years in conflict zones in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Saady has trained hundreds of journalists around the world on safety, ethics, investigative and conflict-sensitive journalism.
Abeer holds a master's degree in media from the University of Westminster, and is currently working towards a doctorate at the University of Dortmund in Germany on professional and ethical safety decisions for journalists working in ISIS-controlled areas in the Middle East.
Saady is also Vice-President of the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate, and the Vice President of the International Association of Women In Radio and Television (IAWRT).
